The ECOWAS Gender Development Centre (EGDC) Took Part in the First ‘Africa Care’ Forum in Addis Ababa on the Healthcare Sector as a Driver of Inclusive Growth in West Africa.
The ECOWAS Commission, through its ECOWAS Gender Development Centre (EGDC), participated in the inaugural Africa Care Forum, convened by the African Union Commission from 2–4 September 2026 at the AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa. Under the theme “Placing Care at the Centre of Africa’s Development Agenda”, the Forum convened policymakers, researchers, civil society, and development partners in a continental platform to elevate care as a public priority and accelerate its recognition as a central pillar of inclusive growth and sustainable development across the continent.
