In Abidjan, ECA and UNFPA take a major step towards better monitoring of the Demographic Dividend in Africa
The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), through its Sub-Regional Office for West Africa, and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and Development of Côte d’Ivoire, through the National Population Office (ONP), on Monday, 7 September 2026, launched in Abidjan a technical validation and operationalization meeting for the Digital Monitoring Platform for the Implementation of the African Union Roadmap on Harnessing the Demographic Dividend in Africa.
