Somalia Prepares for First AfCFTA Shipment After Ratification
The AfCFTA Secretariat Secretary-General, Wamkele Mene, completed a three-day official visit to Mogadishu from 16 to 18 August 2026 as Somalia prepares to deposit its instrument of ratification with the African Union. The Somali government intends to complete the ratification process in September 2026. Once the instrument is deposited, Somalia would become the 50th State Party to the AfCFTA Agreement. Read More
