Five Things to Know About the West Africa Forest Investment Program
The Forest Investment Program (FIP) in Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, and Ghana represents more than a decade of efforts to restore degraded landscapes, strengthen climate resilience, and improve livelihoods. The portfolio comprises 13 projects with $163 million in FIP financing and more than $231 million in co-financing. The West Africa Regional FIP Investment Plan Close-Out Workshop in Abidjan provided an opportunity to review achievements, share lessons learned, and discuss the future of forest and climate action in the region.
