A new United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) assessment warns that the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is sparking a far-reaching socioeconomic crisis which could push 985,000 more people into poverty, with women disproportionately suffering the economic and health fallout.
