Kenya’s trade performance weakens against regional peers Uganda and Tanzania

Kenya’s trade competitiveness has weakened relative to its regional peers, Uganda and Tanzania. The latest Standard Bank Africa Trade Barometer (ATB) rankings show the country has slipped one position, moving to seventh place among the ten surveyed African economies, down from sixth in the previous edition. However, its overall score improved, pointing towards slower progress compared to other markets.
