UN General Assembly adopts historic outcome on global internet governance at WSIS+20 Review: ECA’s advocacy leads to strengthened Internet Governance Forum mandate in Outcome Document
The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) welcomes the adoption by consensus of the outcome document of the High-Level Meeting of the General Assembly on the overall review of the implementation of the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS+20). This decision, based on the resolution submitted by the President of the General Assembly during the High-Level Meeting held from 16–17 December, marks a historic milestone for the architecture of global Internet governance.
