The Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) initiated today, in partnership with the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare a two-day, joint workshop on Migration Statistics and the Recognition of Migrants’ Skills in Zimbabwe. This meeting is an opportunity to discuss the findings and recommendations of the ECA Report on enhancing and coordinating migration statistics in Zimbabwe. The workshop will provide participants with training, focusing on the recent UN recommendations for migration statistics, supporting the production of evidence-based, national migration strategies in the country.
