The Ghana Chamber of Mines Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Sulemanu Koney has indicated that it is the ambition of his outfit to make the country the hub of mining services in the sub-region.
He said the Chamber will leverage the opportunities of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to achieve the dream.
With regionalism serving as cornerstones for building a global economy, Ghana is looking to improve its international competitiveness in all aspects of economic activity.
This aims to increase exports and reduce imports, but more importantly to position the country as a hub for certain forms of economic activity where it has globally recognized competitive superiority over its regional neighbours.
As a result, the Ghana Chamber of Mines last week held a media engagement on steps taken so far towards the dream of making Ghana a Mining Services Hub in the sub-region. Read More.
