The second five-day training workshop started on Monday 15 May 2023 at The Barn in Windhoek to strengthen the capacity of key officials to develop the country’s National Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) given its importance in tourism development in Namibia Sector. Addressing the opening session attendees, Mr. Sebulon Chicalu, Director of Tourism and Gambling at the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT), paid tribute to the Economic Commission for Africa and Sub-Regional Office for Southern Africa (ECA-SRO-SA) and drove continued to support and engage in building the national capacity to produce reliable, timely and high-quality tourism statistics by providing the necessary skills for the development of the TSA.
