
Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo are preparing to begin implementing all protocols that will see the two countries working through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Soraya Hakuziyaremye, Rwandan Minister of Trade and Industry flew to DRC’s Capital Kinshasa where she met with President Félix Tshisekedi for discussions relating to entry into the Continental Free Trade Area. “The President has done us the honour to receive us so that we can talk about the joint economic development projects of our two countries, but above all insist on the commercial relations which still need to develop further between the two countries,” Minister Soraya told Congolese Press.
She also noted, “It was a question of insisting on the commercial relationship between our two countries, preparing our two countries especially to prepare the economies of our two countries especially for the AfCFTA”. Read More.
