At the first meeting of the year of the Dialogue on Plastics Pollution and Environmentally Sustainable Plastics Trade on 16 February, co-sponsors discussed the latest developments in global efforts to reduce plastic pollution. The primary goal in 2023, as outlined by the co-coordinators, is to take steps towards turning a wealth of technical information into “concrete, pragmatic and effective” outcomes at the 13th Ministerial Conference (MC13), which is due to take place in Abu Dhabi in February 2024.
