
The East African Business Council (EABC) is pushing for policies that will drive growth of intra-East African Community trade to at least 30 per cent, in the medium term. This is up from the current low of 13 per cent, compared to common markets such as the EU which is at 67 per cent. In partnership with the Federation of German Industries (BDI), EABC has convened trade and policy experts from the EAC partner states virtually; to chart out a joint regional policy advocacy agenda geared towards growth in trade and investment.
