The COMESA Taskforce that is following up progress on the implementation of legal instruments and Council of Ministers’ Decisions by Member States was in Madagascar on 25 – 28 July 2023 to track progress. The team specifically focused on the ratification and implementation of the Protocol on the Gradual Relaxation and Eventual Elimination of Visas (Visa Protocol) and the Protocol on the Free Movement of Persons, Service, Labour and the Right of Establishment and Residence (Free Movement Protocol).
